Kelvin McCreary, 26, and Christian Young, 27, both of Oxon Hill, were arrested this week following an investigation into stolen vehicles that were reported stolen in Brooklyn and ultimately located in the region, according to the police.

The duo’s demise began in late April, when a victim in New York contacted the Prince George’s Police Department about his stolen car, which had a tracking device inside that indicated it was in Maryland.

Detectives were able to conduct an investigation and obtained a search warrant for McCreary’s home in the 7300 block of Claudia Drive, where they found a stolen gray Dodge Charger in the driveway, as well as as second blue Charger, also reported stolen out of New York on Tuesday, May 2.

While searching the home, investigators also recovered an illegal firearm, police say.

Both men were charged with multiple counts of motor vehicle theft. McCreary was also hit with multiple weapons offenses. They were transported to the custody of the Department of Corrections.
